PPE is proud to have played a major role in this historic project working with GC Mortenson and precast supplier Knife River Prestress. Formerly called Seattle Center Arena and Key Arena, the new Climate Pledge Arena is the first International Living Future Institute Zero Carbon certified  professional sports venue in the world. Home to NHL's Seattle Kraken and WNBA's Seattle Storm, the newly renovated arena can seat up to 18,100 fans. Our scope of work was the installation of over 1,100 precast pieces (single and double risers, vom walls, fascia panels, enclosure walls and tread riser combos). A major challenge on this project was the existing roof was not removed, but lifted and suspended overhead which made for challenging crane picks and precision sequencing. Our crane partner on this project was NessCambell crane, supplying a 140 ton and 175 ton crane.
