Our scope of work at the Sierra Student Apartments in Corvallis, OR included erecting a 6-level precast parking garage with 456 parking spaces. In addition to the garage, PPE erected a 5-level 40,518 sf steel industrial building adjacent to the garage. Some of our challenges on this project was managing the installation and rigging of 450 precast pieces, including huge double tees and shear walls. The team maintained vertical alignment of the precast through constant surveying and adjustments. A 300 ton crane was provided by NessCampbell. Our partners on this project were the General Contractor John Hyland Construction and the Precast Supplier Knife River Prestress.
